The following errata have been found:

Page 29, Example 2.1.7
Replace "A/2" with just "A" in four places.

Page 42, Equation 2.1.42
Replace the symbol Script L (script "L") with the symbol Script T (script "T") in every instance. (Three replacements)

Page 78, Some electronic editions of the textbook only,
Fourier transform of the sin function has a sign error

The correct transform is

Page 101, Problem 2.5 parts 3 and 4
Replace parentheses with square braces. The corrected text is. . .
3. sin[4000πt] + cos[11,000πt]
4. sin[4000πt] + cos[11,000t]
(Eight replacements)

Page 102, Problem 2.6 part 5
Change Part 5 of this problem from. . .
"x5(t) = x1(t) – x2(t), where x1(t) is even and x2(t) is odd"
to. . .
"x5(t) = xa(t) – xb(t), where xa(t) is an even function and
             xb(t) is an odd function"

(The authors do not intend to refer back to parts 1 and 2 of this problem. They instead wish to refer to any general even and odd pair of functions. Also, the subtraction sign in this problem statement is not an error.)

Updated 1/7/2014.

Page 105, Problem 2.28.
The lower limit of the integral should be t – T
In a few printings and in some electronic editions of this textbook this lower limit incorrectly has a plus sign in it.

Page 151-152, Problems 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.5, 3.6.
In each of these problems, when the authors mention, "DSB" they mean, "DSB-SC."

Page 154, Electronic Edition only: Problem 3.14.
In the second line of the problem statement change "180" to "1800."
The corrected line is
      u(t) = 5cos(1800πt) + 20cos(2000πt) + 5cos(2200πt)

The plot in the row labeled "FM Signal" and in the right-hand half of that row is just plain wrong. Ignore it. A corrected version of Figure 4.2 can be found here.               (posted 3/24/2016, updated 11/01/2017)

Page 182, Problem 4.2.
Part two has a typo (fd should be kf) but also there is an amgiguity of units. Replace part (2) with this question:

2. If phase modulation is used with kp = 1 rad/V what is the maximum
instantanious frequency? Similarly, if frequency modulation is used with
kf = 1 Hz/V what is the maximum instantanious frequency? In each case
let the carrier frequency be fc and express the maxiumum frequency as this
    variable plus a certain amount.

Page 186, Problem 4.16.
The units on the peak frequency deviation are incorrectly given.
Replace "Hz/v" with "Hz".

Page 187, Problem 4.20.
Replace "fIF  <  fLO" with "fC  <  fLO."
(Alternatively, and better fitting to the context, replace with "fLO  >  fC.")
