TEXTBOOK ERRATA
(last update 4/06/2009)
De Boer,
An Introduction to Electrical Engineering,
2009 Edition
The following errata have been found in the 2009 edition:
Page 14. Figure 9.
In a number of places "DC voltage" is mentioned. This is
incorrect. "Direct current voltage" makes no sense. Change
the figure as follows.
In the first column (above the illustration of a
flashlight). . .
Change "Steady DC voltage (V)" to "Constant voltage (V)"
Change "Steady DC current (A)" to "DC, Steady"
In the second column (above the illustration of a battery
charger). . .
Change "Steady DC Voltage (V)" to "Constant voltage (V)
Change "Pulsating DC current (A)" to "DC, Pulsating
In the third column (above the illustration of a motor). . .
Change "AC Voltage v(t) = . . ." to
Alternating voltage v(t) = . . ."
Change "AC Current i(t) = . . ." to
Alternating current i(t) = . . ."
Change "AC voltage (V)" to "Alternating voltage (V)"
Change "AC current (A)" to "Alternating current (A)"
Disclaimer: This list is likely to be incomplete. Please
report newly found errata to Professor De Boer.
